Apple has just released its new firmware iOS 4 for iPhone 3g, 3GS and iPod 3G, 2g.After Steve jobs announcing about iOS 4.0 & iPhone 4 at WWDC 2010, iOS 4.0 GM build was made available to developers. iOS 4.0 has many cool features such as multitasking user interface, new wallpapers, mail improvements, Automatic spell-check, digital zoom, retina display integration etc.

In order to install the new iOS 4, make sure you have installed the iTunes 9.2 on your computer. You can download this latest version from Apple site.
